Guest is asking: Do people wear dirt bike helmets when riding a bmx bike on the street? or will I just look stupid? You know those full face ones that just have the eyes cut out etc. the dirt biking helmets. Do people wear those on the street when riding bmx bikes? Or will I just look like to much. . .

??? ya way too much if you feel like you need to wear a helmet try a skating helmet or something but i would recomend one non the less
IF you are riding on the street i dont think you should wear that helmet wear a normal one. people usually wear the MX helmets when they are racing and stuff like that
The big problem is that you won’t have as much peripheral vision with a helmet like that. It’s not a big issue when you’re riding on a BMX track, but it could be dangerous on a busy street.
bmxer’s use mx helmets in bmx races, and at some x game and dew tour events. . . if you are just cruiseing on the street you will look like a gord.
Wear whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable on your bike. It may look a bit out of place but dont sweat it. My buddies and I have occasionally done some ‘urban’ downhilling and I’m sure we look pretty crazy in full-face helmets and body armor dropping starcases but damn if isnt good fun!!!
