Why to wear motorbike gear?
It is true that in a big crowd of people you do not recognize a teacher or a manager, but you always recognize a real biker. What is the difference?
They wear riding boots and some of the motorcycle riders like a cowboy boots. You might see colorful due-rag on their head. Motorcycle clothes for riding motorcycle and motorbike are different styles and for different tastes, but the functional side is one. We wear riding gear for protection. And it should be of high level. We dress up mostly for protection. Right? You can always get fancy glamour accessories for yourself or your “iron” horse, but you think practically when you are “an old biker”.
So what are the most important things you should know about motorbike riding gear?
Motorbike or motorcycle riding gear consists of many items: jackets, jeans, riding pants,boots, riding motorcycle gloves and of course, motorcycle helmets that can be considered as
the most important parts. As the whole good biker’s gear should be comfortable and safe, especially as speak about helmet.
One of the other important parts of biker’s gear is a jacket that should be with a belt on the bottom or elastic to protect from the wind and rain. In the areas with cold climate it is better to wear a leather vest or heated gear under a jacket. I know some people just wear heated jacket instead of other heavy one’s.
Jeans or leather pants. It is not recommended to wear shorts for riding. Falling on the ground even on 30 mph will leave lots of damaged skin and scars for the future. It is well known, biker’s choice is famous Levi’s jeans when considering buying jeans. The thicker fabric or leather the better for your protection. If you just got a Harley, the color of riding pants doesn’t matter, it will be covered, because most of the Harley riders wear chaps. But I also should say, not only Harley riders wear chaps, many Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda riders wear them too. So, suit yourself with your preferences.
Now, there is a lot’s of information can be found about helmets, which is requirement for a bikers in most states of America. They can be different: colors, styles and shapes or even types! There are a lot’s of i inventions in this area, one of them is a helmet with camera for recorder things behind, upfront or beside of you, and this nice feature doesn’t cost a lot. Remember, motorcycle riders must not try to save money on a helmet. Remember, you don’t need to bucket your brain from the street.
